Walnut slat & stone feature wall
A long, blank basement wall turned into the focal point of the room, combining warm wood panelling, slat accents and textured stone panels washed by the pot lights.
Charcoal board & batten
A cluttered corner became a moody, tailored backdrop with full-height board and batten in a deep charcoal finish.
Closet door makeover
Dated bifold doors refreshed with simplified panel trim, a soft greige finish, brass pulls and a matching two-tone wall.
Primary bedroom refresh
A plain, unfinished-feeling bedroom brought together with a full-height grid panel wall in soft greige, layered navy and cream bedding, and coordinated decor on the nightstands.
Staircase transformation
An unfinished stairwell with exposed studs, insulation and raw drywall, completed top to bottom: bold black and charcoal walls, stepped vertical trim that follows the stairs, warm stained treads over crisp white risers, a new wood handrail and a statement light at the landing. Hi, I'm Tobi.
I'm the founder of Olivia Tyche Homes, and I've loved making spaces feel beautiful since my university days. It wasn't until I bought my first home, though, that I found my real passion: renovation. My first big project was transforming our unfinished basement, a complicated job that showed me just how much a space can change with the right plan and a lot of care.
Since then, I've brought that same energy to homes across the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge region, Milton and Oshawa. My favourite part is the moment a plain, overlooked room becomes the one that wows everyone who walks in.
Before design, my career was in accounting, business analysis, process improvement and project management. For you, that means more than a beautiful result. You get a clear plan, an organized timeline and an honest budget, with no surprises along the way.
At home, I'm a wife and a mom of two busy kids who keep my life wonderfully full, so I know a home has to work hard as well as look good.
